By adopting the following tips, I was successful in recovering most of the data from the scratched CD.
Here’s an easy home remedy, which might give you the desired results. Rub a small amount of toothpaste on the scratch and polish the CD with a soft cloth and any petroleum-based polishing solution (like clear shoe polish). Squirt a drop of Brasso and wipe it with a clean cloth.
Recover CD/DVD Using Softwares: There are many softwares available on the net, which enable the recovery of the CD data. BadCopy Pro is one such software, which can be used to recover destroyed data and files from a range of media.
Just a few clicks is all it requires to recover the disc from almost all kind of damage situation; be it corrupted, lost data, unreadable or defective.
DiskDoctors is another popular company, which offers both software and solutions to recover data from a scratched CDs and DVDs
Manual method of recovering data from Scratched cd/dvd:
* Always wipe the CD from the center outward with straight spoke-like strokes. Wiping CDs in circles will create more scratches.
* Do not scratch the graphics layer as you cannot repair the disc.
HINT: Hold the disc up to a light with the graphics layer facing the light source. If you can see light thru the scratches at any point then the disc may be irreparable and or exhibit loading or playing errors.
* Clean your Disc players lens regularly with a suitable product to ensure optimal viewing pleasure.
* Make sure to use a soft, lint-free cloth to clean both sides of the disc. Wipe in a straight line from the centre of the disc to the outer edge.
* If wiping with a cloth does not remove a fingerprint or smudge, use a specialized DVD disc polishing spray to clean the disc.Turn on/off Monitor from Keyboard
If you are using a Desktop computer then it’s easy to turn On or Off your monitorscreen. But still if you are lazy enough to stretch your hand to the monitor screen you can use one cool small app to make your life easier.
PushMoitorOff is a tiny app which allows you to control your monitor screen from your keyboard. This tool comes handy for laptop users too. As most of the laptops don’t have the different On/Off button for the screen. So those who believe in saving energy can use this tool when needed. The app is very easy to use. Whenever you feel like turning on/off your monitor you just have to press Shift+f1. You can change this shortcut key also using the options provided in the software. Download PushMonitOff After Download this a icon will shown on your downloaded folder. Then run this exe file. Now its ready for working. You can change it's settings through right-click on icon on Task bar.

Computer mistakes happen from time to time, and in the old days that unsaved document was gone in a flash to all but the most tech savvy. Microsoft Word 2010 users have an easy way to retrieve unsaved documents they accidentally closed, while Word 2007 and older users have several methods to try. The best way to retrieve an unsaved document is to save it regularly and enable an AutoSave or AutoRecover option in Word.Don't panic--you may be able to get that document back quickly.Instructions:-
Microsoft Word 2007:-
1.Launch Microsoft Word. Click "Microsoft Office" then "Word Options" then "Save." Search for the text that reads "Save AutoRecover information every [ ] minutes" and note whether this text option is clicked on. If so, a version of your unsaved word document should be saved on the computer. You'll just need to find it. 2.Quit Word using the "CTRL+Q" shortcut. Open Word again from the "Start" menu. 3.Scroll through the "AutoRecover" panel that will automatically pop up on the left side of your screen when you re-open Word. Click on the unsaved document to open it. If you enabled the "AutoRecover" option, your lost document will be here. 4.Click "Microsoft Office" then "Open" if you did not enable "AutoRecover" in Word 2007. Select the down arrow to show more options. 5.Select "Open and Repair" from the drop-down menu. In the dialog box that opens, search for your unsaved file among the list of documents displayed. It will have a name like "Document7" since you did not save it.Word 2010:-
1.Select the "Info" tab from the menu with Word 2010 running. Navigate to "Manage Versions." 2.Click on "Recover Unsaved Documents" to open a list of recently unsaved documents. 3.Browse the documents until you find the one you need. Then select the document to open it in Word 2010. 4.Save the document using the "CTRL+S" shortcut.Charge Your Battery in Smart Way
Did you even notice how many mobile devices do you have? MP3, mobile phone, tablet PC, laptop, digital camera, GPS, and handheld console and more. All these mobile devices are powered by batteries, which cause the most concerns about battery life.
Generally, battery life depends on your settings and apps you run. Meanwhile, knowledge about battery maintenance is also important. You may have backups, but if you own an iPhone, unfortunately you are not able to change the battery.
Take Li-on battery as example. When you buy a new battery, it does not matter how many times you charge and discharge it. But after a long time of usage, usually more than one year, you will notice the difference. The battery lasts shorter as there is a loss of battery capacity.
There are rumors on the internet that new battery should be charged for more than 12 hours for three times, then totally discharge it in order to activate the most battery capacity.
Well according to experiments, the best way to maintain a Li-on battery is light usage and quick charge and discharge. The battery life depends on how many times you fully charge and discharge it, the more times, the shorter battery life.
For normal users, the right time for charging your battery comes when 10% or 20% of your battery capacity is used, and 50% is acceptable too. The situation you should avoid is a full discharge, do not wait until your battery is used up.
Other factors worth noting is that temperature also has an impact on the battery lifespan. When the temperature is too high (over 30) or too low, the battery life could suffer a loss. For instance, when plug in your power supply, you should take the battery out from your laptop. It’s not because it may over charge your battery, but laptop overheating could cause damage to the battery. Of course if you suffer from a power shortage, it’s wise to keep your laptop battery where it is to avoid loss of private data. Hack Android based Mobiles

History of Internet

The Internet (as we know it) first got it's start back in 1972, but you have to go back even farther than that... In 1957, Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower saw the need for, and started the Advanced Research Projects Agency (or ARPA) after the Soviet's launched their Sputnik satellite (the first successful man-made satellite).
ARPA, a project of the US Department of Defense, was originally created to develop a non-centralized network that would be able to withstand particular outages (i.e. Nuclear War) and still function when parts of network were not working correctly (or destroyed). This specific project of ARPA was called the ARPAnet.
In 1962, a man by the name of Dr. J.C.R. Licklider was chosen to head ARPA's research. Licklider, the visionary he was, saw that the best way to improve the technology was to move the organization out of private ownership and into the universities. ARPAnet had it's first public demonstration in 1972. After which, the Universities and public researchers greatly contributed to it and other networks.
One of the other networks that later became part of the Internet was called NFSnet, named after the National Science Foundation that created it. It was the brainchild of academic researchers all over the US. In 1985, the NFSnet became the backbone of the internet, transmitting data across the US. This opened the doors for hundreds of smaller, regional networks to join up with it, and form the huge network we have today.
In 1989, ARPAnet was shut down due to lack of military interest and funding.
During the early 1990's, the Internet experienced explosive growth as commercial networks started giving people access to the internet, even indirectly. America On-Line is a good example of one of these networks. AOL customers couldn't access the Internet until about 1991.
The most growth was experienced towards the end of 1994. At that time, it was estimated that the Internet connected some 2 million computers, and served some 23 million users in over 100 countries. And the population doubled every year. It was estimated that by the year 2000, almost everyone in the world would have e-mail access.
